It has been 3 months and 5 days since I got married. Yes,
married!
Just over a year ago, I hated the entire concept of marriages. My family was afraid to inform me of any proposals. I was happily single, spending day after day at the office, so unaware of what lay ahead.
When finally, one day, I was emotionally blackmailed and an online profile was created for me by my parents on one of those websites for arranging marriages. I loathed it so much so that I didn’t even look at it once. My mother and my sister, however, loved to go through the profiles of prospective husbands for me. It was irritating how they would always do that when I was around and read aloud the profiles details. I guess they knew what they were doing, because in the end they did manage to get me interested in the whole process.
So when nobody was around, I logged into the website to take a look at what I was missing. And there he was, looking all confident and proper in his light blue shirt, a profile picture possibly taken for the purpose of uploading it on the website ;-)
I like to think of it as my very own version of love at first sight. I immediately knew that he was The One. That night I slept with a smile on my face.
